About the Wine Club
This wine club is for discovering new, outsider, eco-responsible artisan American wineries. Each month you’ll receive a different set of wines that are exclusive to Bonde and can’t be found anywhere else in the state (and in some cases, anywhere else at all), along with their tasting notes, pairing recommendations, and origin stories.
How It Works
Sign up for a monthly membership and receive a set of exclusive wines each month, along with our tasting notes, pairing recommendations, and stories of the winemakers behind the wines.
You can choose from three tiers, with an option to add on a bottle at several price points, which means you can get anywhere from 2-5 bottles per month.
You can choose to pick up your wine at the shop, have it delivered locally (within two miles of the shop), or have it shipped (available in Massachusetts only). We provide free delivery in Cambridge.
Sign-up is open for the Wine Club only in first week of the month, which will allow us to guarantee you access to that month's Wine Club wines starting in the second week of the month.
You'll get an email when your wine is ready for pickup or when it's been shipped. If you've selected local delivery, we'll get in touch about a time to deliver the wine.
If you wish to suspend your subscription, you must inform us via email one month in advance.
For any other questions or concerns, you can email us at bonde@bondewines.com.

How to Join

What Makes Our Wine Club Different?
The wines for the wine club are...
Privately imported. Private importation means that we bypass distributors and get the wines straight from the producers themselves. It also means that you cannot get them anywhere else in the state and often times, unless you're at the winery itself, in the country or even the continent.
Pre-Release. In addition to not being sold anywhere else, our Wine Club wines are also not even being sold at our shop until after the wine club debut. This means we are not using this wine club to cast off our bin ends (the last stragglers of a kind that we're eager to get off our shelves). And even if you're a shop regular, you will not have seen these wines.
Hand-selected. Each and every wine is hand-selected by Bertil for the club. But to elaborate: it's not like he's just randomly selecting wines on in our intake queue and setting them aside for the club—Bertil works directly with the producers months ahead of time to ensure he has the exact collection he wants each month. The reason Wine Club members are able to get these exclusive wines is because of the mutual trust and respect between Bertil and producers that has been developed over decades—it's a much more personal arrangement with the winemakers than just buying through distributors.
Who You're Supporting
By joining the wine club, you’re supporting small-scale producers that use eco-responsible and humane practices in the vineyards and in the wine cellar. With private importation of American producers, we are able to cut out the many layers of middlemen that are normally part of the wine supply chain. This means that, instead of being siphoned off via various distributors and shipping companies, the largest possible percentage of your membership fee goes directly back to the producers who need it most. All of our wines are eco-responsible, which means they are made from wineries with grapes that have been grown with respect for the fruit, the land, and the people who tend it, and have been vinified at a human scale without the use of industrial chemicals or mechanical processes.
You’re also supporting Bonde Fine Wine Shop, one of a diminishing number of independently owned and operated businesses in Harvard Square. Bonde Fine Wine Shop was opened in July 2021 by Bertil Jean-Chronberg, and won Best of Boston that same year. We specialize in eco-responsible and author wines from North America. What’s an author’s wine? It’s the opposite of the standard, mass-produced wines that make up most of the market. These wines were not created according to market trends, instead they are produced on a small scale, with an expert winemaker at the heart.
