At Bonde we love Girl Scout Cookies that we have decided to choose our favorite cookies and pair them with some of our wines. We're calling it the Secret Sauce Series: Girl Scout Cookies and Wine. Come with us as we lead you to cookie and wine heaven.
The Cookie: Crispy chocolate wafers dipped in a mint chocolaty coating
The Wine: Medium bodied; tart blueberries fruit, subtle oak, cinnamon oil, peach and plum, dried cherry.
Why it works: There’s a wonderful traditional treat straight from Vermont and Quebec that’s only available in the fall: Fresh blueberries coated in minted dark chocolate. If you want to experience this "childhood" pleasure in the middle of winter, spoil yourself with this wine and the sweet pleasure of the Thin Mints. Just like being a Girl Scout, this pairing will build your confidence.

The Cookie: Crispy cookies with caramel, coconut, and chocolaty stripes
The Wine: Medium bodied; raspberry, baked pear, cherry, toasted vanilla
Why it works: This is a brand-new friendship of two great classics. This effervescent wine from New Mexico will bring a third dimension previously unknown to the Samoas. Imagine: the tropical delight of the Pacific islands with the warm toastiness of an almost French "Champagne". Yumm…

The Cookie: Crisp and crunchy oatmeal cookies with peanut butter filling
The Wine: Light bodied; dark dry caramel, floral, tarragon, salted black olives, floral, pepper, umami, strawberry
Why it works: Feeling groovy? To each their own sandwich, I say! This is a fair proposal: make a PB&J for the kids, and then for yourself pair this classic PBS cookie with a wild wine that embraces umami along with light red fresh raspberries, and cries out for the crunchy shortbread.

Adventurefuls Cookie: Indulgent brownie-inspired cookies with caramel flavored crème with a hint of sea salt.
Toffee-tastic Cookie: Gluten free rich, buttery cookies with sweet, crunchy toffee bits
The Wine: Full bodied; sweet butterscotch, fig, orange zest
Why it works: Made in a traditional Tawny port style but with Tempranillo grapes, this seductive 10 year Tawny port is a full expression of butterscotch, fig, orange zest, & dried flowers, caramel, with a soft and round palate. With the flavors in both of these cookies, it’s a very bonding experience.
