Made from the Dijon clone, this single-vineyard Pinot Noir is aromatic with rhubarb, black cherry, pomegranate, guava, wood spice, and earth. One the palate, it’s savoriness and juicy, with deep red fruit and smooth tannins. Exclusive to Bonde.
Appellation (AVA): Dundee Hills AVA, Willamette Valley, OR
Vineyard: Redside Vineyard (Lange Estate Vineyard)
Grapes: 100% Pinot Noir (Djion Clone 777)
Soil: Deep and well-drained rich clay-loam soils (Jory and Nekia)
Vinification: Elevage in 15% New French Oak barrels for 11 months. Hand picked, sorted, and punched down by hand. Primary fermentation was solely in 1.5 ton, small vats.
Tasting Notes: On the nose, aromatic, rhubarb, black cherry, pomegranate, guava, wood spice, and earth. On the palate, juicy red fruit, savoriness, round, lush mid-palate, balanced. Velvety tannins. Light to medium bodied.
Service and Food Pairing Suggestion: Pair with charcuterie, or roasted winter vegetables with herbs.
