HOURS: TUESDAY-SATURDAY 12-6PM, SUNDAY 11-5PM
Appellation (AVA): Umpqua Valley, South Oregon, OR
Grapes: 100% Tempranillo
Vinification: 11 months in French oak
Tasting Notes: Intense nose of black plum, spicy cinnamon, Indian spices, dry bacon, blackened charcoaled red meat, coal powder, and dry black licorice. On the palate, the wine surprises first with its freshness and brilliance, before the crescendo of black fruit, spices on firm tannins, dry finish of Indian spice aromas and powerful notes of cinnamon and five spices takes the relay.
Service and Food Pairing Suggestion: Pair with juicy meat, like an Asian Short rib, Chinese beef stew, Yukgaejang (Korean spicy Beef), or a venison stew in red wine sauce.
About the Label: Tango at Segesta by Mary Heebner. “We partnered with Santa Barbara artist Mary Heebner to launch the series. Her diptych titled Tango at Segesta for Trouvere Tempranillo reminds us of the dramatic climatic zones found in the Umpqua Valley. The warmer growing conditions at the Southern end of the AVA are perfectly suited for this noble Spanish grape.” - Lange Winery
