This white Bordeaux-style blend is bright and complex on the nose, with notes of tropical fruit, herbs, and beeswax. It’s zesty and creamy on the palate, with yellow pear and minerality and a long finish.
Appellation (AVA): Napa Valley
Vineyard: From two carefully selected vineyards in Oak Knoll District and Yountville.
Grapes: Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon
Vinification: 100% Barrel fermented, no stirring. Aged in barrel 10 months (30% new French oak). Made by winemaker Steve Matthiasson.
Tasting Notes: Tropical fruits, minerality, lemon, blossom, savory, beeswax. Medium to full bodied and dry. Fully ripe and textured, yet bright, zesty, juicy, creamy yet fresh.
Service and Food Pairing Suggestion: Serve chilled, but not too cold (45-50° F). Serve with our Salt Crusted Red Millet with Shishito Pepper and Japanese Rice.
