Vineyard: Popelouchum Estate Vineyard
Grapes: 54% Grenache Gris, 46% Grenache Blanc
Soil: Chalky limestone and sandy loam
Vinification: 2 hours of skin contact before crushing. Barrel fermented in neutral cooperage with full malolactic fermentation/conversion. Rested on the lees until bottled, unfiltered.
Tasting Notes: With notes of apricot, orange zest, toasted almonds, this wine is soft and plush. Medium bodied and dry.
Service and Food Pairing Suggestion: Serve slightly chilled. As is expected from the winemaker Randall Grahm—an incorrigible punster—he his pairing suggestion for this Grenache Blanc/Grenache Gris blend is as follows: “While not particularly befitting sweet ganache, it plays quite well with goulash, lavash, summer, winter, or crookneck squash.”
Organic. 750 ml. 14.5% alcohol by volume.
